How to change Windows 7 password without logging in

1. You must turn on Sticky Keys (which is in the bottom right of the login screen).

2. You must shut down your computer and turn it on again.

3. You must immediately shut down your computer when it says "Starting Windows."

4. When it asks you whether to "Start Normally" or "Repair (Recommended)", choose Repair.

5. Wait until it completes repairing and look for "more details" and find the place where it shows the .txt file.

6. Navigate to System32 and search for all file types.

7. Rename "cmd" to "sethc" and "sethc" to "cmd"

8. Now restart and activate sticky keys at the login screen.

9. Now your almost done! Now in CMD, type:

net user [TYPEUSERHERE] *

replace [TYPEUSERHERE] with the user you want to change the password to.

10. Now all you have to do is enter the password you want to change it to. It won't appear on the screen, but it is there.

  1. Thank you, I found this article to very interesting and informative. Like some others I have heard things about the dark net but had no real knowledge of it. Your article has pulled back the covers and given a nice introductory overview. This will allow me to be able make an educated decision to look into the underbelly or not.

  2. This is fascinating. I had only ever heard of the idea of a "darknet" in the broadest terms, so I'm glad to have a firmer grasp on the concept. I am intrigued and quite curious.
